IMEW <br /> Spills should always be cleaned up in a timely manner. If a spill involves hazardous materials—or suspected hazardous materials—provide an associate with <br /> specific directions on how to clean up the spill.This includes wearing proper personal protective equipment and ensuring the item is marked out of stock. <br /> While broom heads and mop heads don't need to be disposed of, all other items used to clean the spill—such as paper towels, disposable gloves, used Spill <br /> Magic and Spill Pads must be treated as hazardous materials. Instruct your associate to bag the items, place the bagged items next to the Hazardous Waste <br /> Station, and to notify you when finished. <br /> Once notified, ensure the spill was properly prepared for storage by validating that all items used to clean the spill are inside the bag. This includes leaking <br /> bottles and liquids mixed with Spill Magic. Next, list the item on the non-saleable list. Double bag the spill materials if the associate that cleaned up the spill <br /> failed to do so.Also verify that the name of the product and SKU are on the bag. Once this is verified/completed, place your initials on the bag and then put it <br /> into the correct tote/container. <br /> Only a store leader is permitted to place the bagged spill and clean-up materials into the correct tote/container. <br /> Select the orange arrow to continue. <br /> Chapter 2: Identifying& Handling Hazardous Audio beings immediately 1.
