PHS/EHD has a contract with
California State Water Resources Control Board to conduct an
underground storage tank corrective action program. The above
referenced site was placed in the PHS/EHD Local Oversight Program
(LOP) in June 1996 .
PHS/EHD has completed review of the file for the above referenced
site along with a submittal entitled "Preliminary Investigation and
Evaluation Report" prepared by Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc .
dated January 1997 . The report contains analytical results which
documents gasoline contamination in soil and groundwater. Complete
characterization of groundwater contamination does not exist .
PHS/EHD concurs with Advanced GeoEnvironmental' s recommendation to
install wells to further delineate the contamination plume that may
have migrated downgradient .
A work plan and permit application must be submitted to PHS/EHD for
review and permit issuance. Once a permit has been issued, work
can be scheduled.
Pursuant to Section 2652 (d) of the Underground Storage Tank
Regulations (California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Subchapter
16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be submitted to PHS/EHD and
the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Board until the
investigation and cleanup of the site is deemed adequate.
PHS/EHD records reflect a possible business/ownership change at
this site. Please supply this office with current updated
information as soon as possible.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
