To drill four pilot soil borings and install 4 addit onal MWs to define the vertical and lateral
extent of soil and groundwater contamination. Three MWs will be screened across first
water at approximately 7-10 feet below ground surface (BGS)and one MW will be screened in
a deeper zone where groundwater contaminate n was reported by AGE in GeoProbe sample
B-5-47-W. The deeper groundwater contamination sample(B-5-47-W)was located near the
former UST.
2. Soil samples will be collected every 5 feet from the pilot borings. Soil samples will be:
visually classified, field screened using an Organic Vapor Meter and recorded, and selected
samples will be transport to a State Certified Laboratory for analysis.
3. The MWs will be developed, surveyed, and ground water collected for analysis.
4. A report of findings, with conclusions and recommendation, will be prepared and submitted
to END and CVRWQCB for review.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Please submit a permit application and fees by Apr 11. 2008.
2. The scope of work proposed should be completed rithin 60 days of permit issuance by EMU.
3. A report of findings should be completed and subm tted to EHO and CVRW CB bV Jul 'l 2008.
4. Many of the existing MWs are non-detect for asoli ie contamination in groundwater and a
reduced sampling schedule (perhaps annual) shoi Id be considered for those data points.
5. MW-6 installed by AGE under an EHD permit for an Environmental Site Assessment Phase 11 is
not associated with the LOP unauthorized petroleui n release investi ation and should be
destroyed. This MW has not been sampled for seve al years and its condition is unknown at this
time.
DATED .j 0$ BY
Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS(209)468-3442
CC: AGE Inc.
