Quarterly Summary Report <br /> Fourth Quarter 1999 <br /> Tosco (former Unocal) Service Station#5417 <br /> 1700 East Yosemite Avenue <br /> Manteca, California <br /> CITY Manteca <br /> COUNTY San Joaquin <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 1700 East Yosemite Avenue (State Highway 120) in Manteca, California <br /> and is currently an operating 76 Products service station and mini-mart that retails unleaded <br /> gasoline fuel The site contains two gasoline USTs (10,000-gallon), associated product lines and <br /> dispensers During dispenser upgrade activities on January 14, 1998, IT collected soil samples <br /> from locations beneath each product dispenser Elevated levels of TPH-g and MtBE were <br /> detected in the subsurface To further define the extent of impacted soil and groundwater, 10 <br /> . Geoprobes® were completed on July 23 and 24, 1998 and three groundwater monitoring wells <br /> were installed on August 20, 1998 Assessment activities showed that case closure is appropriate <br /> under low risk criteria A Request for Closure was submitted to SJCPHS-EHD on July 13, 1999 <br /> IT received SJCPHS-EHD concurrence with closure recommendation August 12, 1999 and <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board concurrence on September 30, 1999 <br /> RECENT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> • Submitted Quarterly Summary Report <br /> • Submit Work Plan for monitoring well destruction on October 18, 1999 <br /> • Destroyed monitoring wells on November 15, 1999 <br /> • Removed soil cuttings and decontamination water <br /> ANTICIPATED NEXT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> • Submit documentation of well destruction <br /> • Receive final site closure <br /> 9110072A/4gr99gsr 01/18/00 <br /> 2 <br />
