One additional confirmation soil boring will be installed down-gradient to further define the extent of soil and
groundwater contamination.
2. Discrete soil and groundwater samplings will be collected to further define the extent of soil and
groundwater contamination.
3. Samples collected will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbon as gasoline, BTEX, and oxygenate
components and additives(including but not limited to MTBE)and reported to EHD and the CVRWQCB for
review and comment.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
1. EHD permits must be obtained prior to completing the boring.
2. In addition, the soil sample results from the site should be compared to the San Francisco Bay Regional
Water Quality Control'Board (SFBRWQCB)Environmental Screening Levels(ESL's); If any soil sample-
result
ample result exceeds the SFBRWQCB ESL's,then additional data or justification must be provided to ensure all
human health risks have been addressed. For example, the soil sample collected at 20 feet bsg from MW2
had 13.5 mg/kg of MTBE and the SFBRWQCB Tier 1 Environmental Screening Levels Surfer shows a limit
of 5.6 mg/kg for vapor emissions to indoor air,so further data or';justification would be necessary to address
the concern of vapor emission to indoor air currently or in the future. Please refer to EHD correspondence
address to 7-.Eleven dated June 19,2007 for guidance.
3.
