In conformance with that
requirement, 7-Eleven has submitted a letter from its Chief Financial Officer,
dated April 27, 2005 (the "CFO Letter"). The CFO Letter incorporates a list of all
underground storage tanks that 7-Eleven operates in the United States. In the
ordinary course of business, this list is modified from time to time to reflect
changes in 7-Eleven's tank population such as new and closed stores. In
compliance with the Fund's requirements, the list now includes all inactive
gasoline sites in California where 7-Eleven previously owned or operated USTs
and for which 7-Eleven has submitted claims to the Fund.
For your information and in support of Claim Number 018319, 1 have attached a
copy of the current CFO Letter, including the current tank list. Store No. 21756 in
Manteca, California, is found on the worksheet entitled "Closed, Inactive or Sold
California Stores." I have also attached a copy of a letter that was sent to the
California State Water Resources Control Board by which 7-Eleven substituted
the CFO Letter for the letter of credit and insurance that we previously used to
demonstrate financial responsibility.
