<hsaeed@slgov.org>; Backus, Garrett<gbackus@sigov.org>
Subject: Question from HW Inspection_EHD
Hi David,
The hazardous waste inspection report is currently in the process of being written. There were some questions that
came up when discussing door 85 and the OS&D area:
1. A) What operations take place at the door 85 area?
B) Where do the products and waste come from that end up at the door 85 area?
C) How long is product/waste staged here before moving on to another location?
D) Where do the products and wastes end up going?
2. How much hazardous waste/hazardous materials inventory is stored at the facility at any one time? Give specific
volumes and weights.
3. A) What operations take place at the OS&D area?
B) What days and hours is the OS&D area operating?
4. A) Does the facility receive damaged products from other locations?
B) Who transports the damaged products to this location?
C) Do vendors transport damaged products to this location?
D) Which vendors?
E) What are the sources of the damaged products including addresses and company names?
5. A) When damaged products are received at this facility where are they stored?
B) How long are they stored?
C) How are they processed at this facility?
6. A) What happens to products that are no longer sellable?
B) Are they transported to another location?
C) If they are transported to another location, which location?
Any questions you can answer will be helpful in completing the report. Once we receive a response, the EHD will email
out the complete inspection report.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank You,
John Alaniz
REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-3147
Fax: (209)468-3433
Please note, my email address has changed to ialanizl@sigov.org.
3
