(AA&AI). The Workplan <br /> proposed installation of three sets of dual-nested 2" diameter downgradient groundwater <br /> monitoring wells (MW-14A/B through MW-16A/B) within a 12" diameter boring, to define the <br /> lateral and vertical extent of the groundwater plume. Each well pair will be screened across the <br /> A and B aquifer zones, from 10' to 30' below ground surface (bgs) and from 55' to 70' bgs. Well <br /> screen placement and length may be modified based on lithology and depth to water observed <br /> during the wells installation. <br /> The Workplan states that during the second quarter of 2012, depth to water varied from 14' bgs <br /> to 16' bgs. Groundwater flow direction has historically varied from northeast to the current <br /> (April 2012) northwest direction. An onsite groundwater pump and treatment system reduced <br /> the contaminant mass onsite and concentrations in the source area are declining. However, a <br /> detached plume extends northeast across Yosemite Avenue, and the downgradient plume <br /> extent has not been established beyond MW-11A-F, which is approximately 175' from the LISTS <br /> area. Groundwater monitoring at MW-11A-F on 20 April 2012 reported total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), 552 micrograms per liter(ug/L), and methyl tert butyl ether <br /> (MTBE), 764 ug/L. The Workplan proposed locating MW-14A/B at 112' west of MW-11A-F in <br /> the sidewalk along Yosemite Avenue; MW15A/B at 235' northwest of MW-11A-F in the right of <br /> way of Rose Lane; and MW-16A/B at 175' east northeast of MW-11A-F in a business parking <br /> lot. <br /> IWn_F.
