DOCUMENT REVIEW AND REQUEST RESULTS BEORE MEETING, RAINWATER CAR WASH,
420 EAST YOSEMITE AVENUE, MANTECA, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY(RB CASE#390835)
On 9 December 2011, Ami Adini &Associates, Inc. (AAAI) contacted me by phone, stating that they
were now Fassel & Amal Elder's consultant. AAAI also proposed submittal of a work plan for a
reduction in monitoring and stated they could provide the data for our meeting. I reviewed the
Groundwater Monitoring Work Plan (Workplan) received 7 January 2012 from AAAI. The Workplan
proposed a groundwater sampling event for the following twenty (20) monitoring and remediation wells:
MW-1 through MW-6, MW-7A through MW-13A, MW-713, MW-8B, and MW-9E, and EW-1 through
EW-3. MW-1 through MW-6 are standard single completion wells, and MW-7A/B/C/E/F through
MW-13A/B/C/D/E/F are continuous multi-chambered tubing (CMT) wells, with each CMT well installed
in a single bore hole.
Based on the Workplan Table 4 and the 18 May 2010 Ground Water Remediation Report- First
Quarter 2010, the following well's data show a consistent trend of either non-detect results or very low
concentrations prior to shutdown of groundwater pump and remediation in 2010: MWA, MW-4, MW-5,
MW-8A through MW-10A, MWA 2A through MW-13A, and MW-813 through MWA 3B. Therefore, in
order to reduce the sampling further and provide adequate data for our meeting, you shall sample eight
(8) wells, MW-2, MW-3, MWA 1A, MWA 1 B, MW-9E, and EW-1 through EW-3, and provide the data in
electronic format (PDF file) by email (address below) to me at least three working days prior to the
established meeting date. If you have any questions, I may be reached by phone at (916) 464-4615 or
by e-mail atibarton aawaterboards.ca.aov.
