The
CUF concurs with the EHD directive to continue groundwater extraction and to assess the
feasibility of soil vapor extraction to reduce residual mass in the source area. At this time the
responsible party has stopped all remediation and monitoring work on the site. The EHD has
issued 14-day letters to reinitiate all activities and to submit overdue reports, but with no
favorable results. At this time an enforcement meeting in our office with the RP is scheduled for
later this month; if the RP still fails to respond, the EHD will respond accordingly.
Questions or comments should be directed to Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852 or to Nuel
Henderson at(209)468-3436.
Sincerely,
Victoria L.
