1 <br /> ' 07 June 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0333 <br /> Page 8 of 9 <br /> • Interim ground water remediation (pump-and-treat) was initiated at the site on 21 January <br /> ' 2001 Between 21 January 2002 and 01 April 2002, the pump-and-treat system was in <br /> operation for approximately 70 days and processed approximately 291,902 gallons of water <br /> ' AGE estimates that an average 4,111 gallons of water was discharged per day during this <br /> time <br /> • Dissolved MTBE was detected from grab samples collected at the influent end of the <br /> ' treatment system at concentrations between 19,000 kig/l and 90,000µg/l (Table 2) <br /> • Laboratory analysis of sixteen grab water samples collected at the effluent end of the pump- <br /> and-treat system did not detect any constituents of concern (Table 2) <br /> • Between 01 January 2002 and 01 April 2002, approximately 113 pounds of MTBE was <br /> ' removed from the extracted ground water(Table 1) <br /> F <br /> r <br /> Ip <br /> ' 5.0. LIMITATIONS <br /> Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by <br /> ' environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly <br /> upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the hydrogeologic <br /> conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of <br /> available data points(ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may vary away from these <br /> Advanced GcoEnvironmentui,Inc <br />
