PAGE 06 <br /> ti <br /> 22 rune 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0333 <br /> Page 8 of 14 <br /> 3 5 REPORT PRI-PARA.TION <br /> Quarterly reports will be prepared presenting the findings frozzx ground w$ter intenin pump and treat <br /> activities The quarterly reports will include a desenption of work performed and the results of the <br /> groundwater analysis Conclusions and recommendations will also be included in the reports, if <br /> applicable The report will be in a format acceptable to RWQCB gwdelirtes, and will be reviewed <br /> and signed by a California Registered Geologist <br /> 4.0 FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a Califorinaa <br /> Registered Geologist Procedures for dedicated low-flow pump installation, dedicated pressure <br /> transducer installation and pump and treat procedures are described below <br /> 4 1 GROUND WATER EXTRACTION <br /> A Grundfos Rediflow down-well pump, tie 5E5, equipped with Franklin 1/2 hn 73t1V, 3-wrire <br /> motors will be installed in EW-1 One-inch diameter Schedule 80 PVC pipe will be installed from <br /> the submersible pump and discharged through the well-head sanitary seal, a safety chain will be <br /> installed at the sanitary seal to prevent chopping the pump to the well bottom To m um1 ze sediment <br /> mtalce through the pump, the bottom of the pump/motor assembly will be suspended approximately <br /> one footfrom the bottom of the well Electrical tvinrig will be connected from the top of the pump <br /> r throhgh Class I electrical correctors/unction boxes and electrical conduit to the pump electric <br /> controller Ground water will be continuously pumped from the bottom of the six-inch diameter <br /> extraction well EW-1 at a low-flow rate between five and seven GPM and routed through <br /> underground PVC piping to a 1,000-gallon holdrrng tank, dedicated Solinst Level Logger pressure <br /> transducers will be deployed in selected on-site wells to measure difference in ground water levels <br /> before well pumping versus during well pumping <br /> 4 2 WELL AND PROCESS PL p CON-1 ROLLERS <br /> Both the submersible Cimndfos pump at EW l and the ground water pump-and-treat process pump <br /> will be controlled by PumpTec controllers, the ground water extraction pump will operate <br /> aideperidt-n-dy on a separate controller !wrap controls will be supplied by an amperage sensing/time <br /> control switch This switch will detect any decrease in amperage when water leN el drops below the <br /> 111pellor intake from the Gzuidfas pump 1 he pump �yhich will be outfitted with automated <br /> elect,oil!(, bhu'-Uff C'unc-ols to contM nater enterrng the system AGE anticipates Total ground water <br /> i <br /> -H[�vuFlr cl'11�Kri�S't 1'.} i7KS:3 <br />
