T <br /> ' 10 August 1999 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 97-0333 <br /> Page 9 of 9 <br /> 46 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION PILOT TEST <br /> Following the ground water drawdown test, an SVE pilot test will be performed for evaluation as <br /> a remedial method Soil vapor field parameters and analytical results will facilitate the design of an <br /> SVE system <br /> An internal combustion(IC) driven engine will be used to apply a vacuum on one of the SVE well <br /> screened intervals while the flow is measured from other selected screened intervals at varying <br /> distances from the extraction well The duration of the SVE pilot test will be approximately 8-hours <br /> Soil vapor samples will be collected at one-hour intervals in Tedlar bags and analyzed for TPH-g <br /> and BTEX from a DHS-certified laboratory Results of the SVE pilot test will be included in a <br /> Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and submitted to PHS-EHD <br /> 47 AIR SPARGING PILOT TEST <br /> For performance of an in-situ air spargmg (IAS) pilot test, a compressor driven unit will be used to <br /> inject air into the subsurface via the dual-completed IAS well The IAS pilot test will be operated <br /> for a period of 48-hours (2 days) Several parameters, including flow rate, vdpor Lunccnuctticiis, <br /> ground water depths and dissolved oxygen concentrations will be measured at regular intervals from <br /> I several nearby ground water monitoring wells Results of the 1AS pilot test will be included in a <br /> CAP <br /> ' 4dianced GeoErnironmental Inc <br />
