AGE-NCPmjmtNo 97-0333
The ProPosed eight-hour SVE pilot test is designed to evaluate feasibility of SVE as a remediation
method at the site The results of the SVE pilot test will provide an estimate of the effective SVE
radius of influence for proper design of a SVE remediation system
3 5 RECEPTOR SURVEY
A receptor survey is proposed to located all potential ground water conduits within a 2,000-foot
radius of the site The results of the receptor survey will cornplunent the pilot study in evaluating
appropriate corrective action
3 6 PREPARATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN
Upon completion of the pilot study, a corrective action plan(CAP)will be prepared presenting the
findings of the pilot study The corrective action pian will discuss feasibility and cost effectiveness
of several remedial alternatives Conclusions and applicable recommendations will be included in
the corrective action plan The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and the
RWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist
•
4 0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be or erseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Registered Geologist Procedures for the well installation, well development, soil sampling,
equipment decontamination, sample shipment and pilot test procedures are outlined below
41 DRILLING
Soil borings will be advanced utilizing a truck-mounted,hollow stem drill rig and 8-inch diameter
hollow-stem augers, 10-inch diameter hollow stem augers will be used for drilling the dual-
completed well Cuttings generated during drilling activities will be placed on plastic sheeting and
covered Rinseate will be containerized in properly labeled D O T 55-gallon drums, and stored on-
site in an area lacking public access Disposal alternatives will be evaluated based on results of soil
and water analysis
Soil samples witl be collected at five-foot intervals, beginning at a depth of 15 feet bsg, utilizing a
California split-spoon sampler and brass sleeves The sampler will be driven by dropping a I40
pound weight from a Height of 30 inches(blow counts) The blow counts will be recorded on boring
Advdped C.ca(ravirunmrn•l Inc
