Yosemite <br /> Manteca, CA 95336 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, nvironmentai Health Division <br /> (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the analytical results of the soil and/or water samples <br /> collected beneath the underground storage t nk(s) that was/were permanently closed <br /> at this site on July 30, 1997. <br /> Based on the levels of contaminants present in the samples collected, further <br /> investigation to determine the extent of the soil and/or groundwater contamination is <br /> required. <br /> An "Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release (Leak)/Contaminated Site <br /> Report" has been filed pursuant to Section 2 295 of the Health and Safety Code <br /> (HSC). The appropriate disclosure of a hazardous waste discharge pursuant to <br /> Section 25180.7 of the HSC has been made and the site has been placed on the list <br /> of contaminated sites in San Joaquin County which is maintained by PHS/EHD. <br /> PHSIEHD under contract with the State of C lifornia Water Resources Control Board <br /> (SWRCB) oversees the investigation and remediation of contamination from leaking <br /> response to an <br /> UST's. Responsible parties must action in es take corrective p <br /> unauthorized release, in compliance with Section 25299.37 of the HSC and <br /> Corrective Action Regulations adopted pursuant to Section 25299.77 of the HSC_ <br /> PHSIEHD uses the SWRCB "Prioritization System for Leaking Underground Storage <br /> Tank Sites" to prioritize all the contaminated sites. You will be directed to begin the <br /> investigation, based upon the priori ranking of the site and PHSIEHD staff <br /> fired i , <br /> required g <br /> q <br /> availability. <br /> Unless further excavation of the tank pit is currently proposed, the tank excavation <br /> should be filled_ Open tank excavations allow for downward migration of <br /> contaminants.
