No work has been . <br /> completed for the first and second quarters. The site is approximately 3,500 feet west of <br /> Highway 99, as shown on the Site Vicinity Map Plate 1). Monitoring-well locations in <br /> relation to other former site features-are shown on the Generalized Site Plan (Plate 2). <br /> Tables 1 and 2 show cumulative ground-water data. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Hydrocarbons were detected in soil and grou d water at the site during previous <br /> investigations by Canonie Environmental Sery ces of Stockton, California (Canonie <br /> Environmental Services, March 1, 1988, Report IS o. 85-052-3580; Canonie Environmental <br /> Services, March 29, 1988, Report No. 85-052-3776). <br /> In October 1988, RESNA(formerly Applied Geos stems) observed the drilling of three soil <br /> borings and the construction of three. monitorin wells at the site. ' Hydrocarbons were <br /> analytically detected in soil and ground-water samples collected during this investigation. <br /> In October 1989, RESNA observed the excavation of approximately 1,100 cubic yards of soil <br /> from the site. Results of laboratory analyses,of soil samples collected from the sidewalls of <br /> the excavation indicated 'hydrocarbons were not present in detectable concentrations <br /> (Applied GeoSystems, October 26, 1989, Report No. 38053-2). <br /> 0701gbro <br /> 38053-4 <br />
