The proposed development project includes:
1. The construction of a 15,963 square foot welding shop and office with accessible restrooms on a 7.79
acre parcel. The parcel will continue to be served by Cal Water for water and proposes a new onsite
septic system with a total wastewater flow of 285 gallons per day (gpd) from the following usage:
Wastewater flow of 278.6 gpd from one shift of up to 30 employees.
Wastewater flow of 6.4 gpd from an average of 3 customers per shift.
2. The wastewater flow of 285 gpd is not to be used for septic system design or size calculation.
Based on the information provided the EHD can make the following findings:
1. The EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for standard OWTS usage for future
development on parcel number 173-040-04 (7.79 Acres), pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance
Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d), provided the existing and proposed OWTS and 100% replacement
areas can meet all required minimum setbacks from any water wells.
2. The dispersal field shall maintain a minimum soil depth of twenty feet from the bottom of the dispersal
system to groundwater; or as mitigated by system design or enhancement (SJC OWTS Standards
Sec. 1.10.2 (e)).
If you have any questions please contact Aaron Gooderham, Environmental Health Specialist, EHS, at
agooderham@sjgov.org or (209) 468-3442.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
CC: Vito Bavaro (26319 Magnolia Road Escalon, CA 95320)
1868 E.
