THIS BERM <br /> IS SIX INCHES TALL BY EIGHT INCHES WIDE. THE ENTIRE <br /> SYSTEM RESTS AT GROUND LEVEL. <br /> A) THE INCOMING WASTE RECEIVER TANK (WRT) IS A 100 <br /> GALLON CAPACITY POLYPROPYLENE TANK ABOUT 2 YEARS <br /> OLD. THIS TANK IS EQUIPPED WITH A pH ELECTRODE <br /> AND CONTROLLER AND ALSO DELIVERY LINES FOR CAUSTIC <br /> AND METAL COMPLEXANT. <br /> INITIAL pH ADJUSTMENT AND ADDITION OF METAL <br /> COMPLEXANT TAKES PLACE IN THIS TANK. THE pH IS <br /> MAINTAINED AT 9 BY AUTOMATIC ADDITION OF SODIUM <br /> HYDROXIDE. <br />
