1 . 3-way sol . valve to open caustic
valve.
2 . Diverting valve for wastewater
flowback to equalization tanks .
- If 6 . 5 to 9 . 5 pH range, the wastewater
continues to the flocculation tank.
No acid or caustic treatment necessary.
- If 9 . 5 to 12 pH range, pH probe #2
sends a signal to the pH monitor #2 on
the electrical panel which will energize
the diverting valve. Wastewater flows
back to the equalization tanks for
further treatment.
- If 11 to 12 pH range, pH probe #2
sends a signal to the pH monitor #2 on
the electrical panel to energize acid
metering pump #2.
t Flocculation Tank If 6 . 5 to 9 .5 pH range in pH adjustment
Operation tank 2 , wastewater will flow to the
flocculation tank. The wastewater
continues to flow to the clarifier tank
and to the City through 4 ' 'diameter pvc
piping (FIGURE 3-7) . Before the
wastewater flows to the city it must
flow through paddle wheel flosensors.
The paddle wheel flosensors send a
signal to the signal conditioner;
the signal conditioner would generate
the do current from 4-20mA (depending
upon the GPM of the wastewater flow)
to energize both, 2839 and 2844 , polymer
metering pumps .
12
