June 11, 2019
San Joaquin County Environmental and Health Department
1868 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
Attn: Ms. Christine Lawrence, EHS Inspector-Trainee
Re: Post Hazardous Waste Inspection Follow Up, May 13, 2019
Hello Christine Lawrence,
MHX LLC is responding to your initial Hazardous Waste inspection that took place at our MHX
LLC Stockton facility on May 13, 2019. During your inspection, the following (2) two minor
violations were found.
Minor Violation item # 102:
The material witnessed in the 5-gallon container with water and diesel was removed and
manifested as a hazardous waste per Title 22 Regulations. (see Manifest enclosed). The nozzles
on the 1,000 Gallon diesel tank and the DEF tank have been rotated into the upward position
preventing any liquid leaks. This will reduce any generation of hazardous waste and increase
the development of hazardous waste minimization. The absorbent sand used to absorb the
material on the ground around the DEF tank was disposed of via World Oil Environmental
Services. The spill absorbent was used to prevent personnel from slipping and falling when
walking in the area. After your inspection, the absorbent was removed by an environmental
services contactor and taking off site for disposal. The empty 55 Gallon drum of Hydraulic fluid
was taken away off site by World Oil Environmental Services for disposal.
Minor Violation item #406
All containers witnessed during the inspection have been removed from the site and manifest
by an environmental services contractor. (see Manifest enclosed)
