i
4
Shadow Lakes Mobilehome Park, LLC
5100 N. Hwy 99
Stockton, CA 95212
January 12, 2010
i
Brendan Kelly
Central Valley Regional j
Water Quality Control Board
11020 Sun Center Drive#200
Rancho Cordova, CA 95670-6114
SHADOW LAIKES WWTPANNUAL'REPORTI+OR2009
The attached report representsa revised annual report for the Shadow Lakes wastewater facility
Average annual daily flow for the year indicated 61,969 gallons per day, total flow for the year was
23,193,120 gallons. However, we believe this to be inaccurate due to high level in pond 1 that exaggerates
the flow readings in the open channel flow meter. Observed flows indicate normal conditions except for
occasional plugging and flow release in the collections system due to grease buildup.
During the year 232,500 gallons of sludge was removed from the plant All waste sludge was aerobically
digested and decanted to reduce volume. All sludge removed is taken to the City of Stockton Regional
Wastewater Control Facility. All waste sludge hauling was perfomed by Richards Pumping of Stockton.
The annual groundwater report will be submitted under a separate cover.
Discussion
f Influent Monitoring
All influent monitoring datawas completed and reported on monthly reports.
>_ Effluent Monitoring
A11 effluent monitoring was completed and reported.
BOD Biochemical Oxygen Demand(BOD) averaged27.9 mg/L over the year. There weretwo monthly
` values that exceeded discharge limitations. These occurred in August and December. In August,
over wasting of the mixed liquor caused less than ideal treatment. We do notyet have a cause of
the high BOD for December.
TSS Total Suspended Solis is not a required monitoringparameter, however we use it for a quality
control check on effluent quality. TSS averaged20.1 mg/L for the year with no single value over
40 mg/L. This represents secondary effluent quality for the year.
SS Settleable Solids averaged<0.1 ml/L for the year with no single value that exceeded effluent
limitations.
TDS Total Dissolved Solids averaged263 mg/L for the year.
