However, high levels in Pond I <br /> during the month exaggerated the flow reading; for the first half of the month. Levels have since returned <br /> to normal. <br /> During the month 17,500 gallons of sludge was removed from the plant All waste sludge was aerobically <br /> digested and decanted to reduce volume. All sludge removed is taken to the City of Stockton Regional <br /> Wastewater Control Facility. <br /> Exceptions/Violations <br /> 1. Minimum freeboard levels were exceeded onDecember 1, 4, 5-12, 15,16 due to slow draining dry <br /> wells. Wells were cleaned in mid-December and are now flowing normally. <br /> 2. An effluent BOD concentration of 106 mg/L was reported for December 8. We do not know why this <br /> occurred. Pond DO concentrations were above 2 mg/L during this period.: Activated sludge process <br /> control parameters were normal during this period also. <br /> Calibration Log <br /> Shadow Lake does not use any analytical instruments that require calibration for the reporting of waste <br /> discharge requirements.
