These reports can be submitted by email
to Todd Del Frate (addressbelow) or faxed to him at (916) 464-4681.
By 28 February 2011, Mus ubmit a monthly water balance capacity analysis for the
3i"I" onstrating adequate containment capacity for both the
1,000-year, 22411
Class II W on event and 100-year, 365-day precipitation event. The water
balance shall include documentation of all data and assumptions used and shall comply with
relevant portions of the attached guidance document, which can also be found on the Central
Valley Water Board's`weWte at
http:l/www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley/plans policies/guidance/modeling.pdf
The capacity analysis shall consider at least the following, and shall determine the minimum
freeboard needed on October 15{of each year to ensure adequate capacity and compliance
with the WDRs' freeboard requirements throughout the design precipitation events.
• As-built impoundment geometry;
• Monthly wastewater influent flows to the two impoundments over the last five years;
• A minimum of two feet of freeboard in each pond at all times;
• Pond evaporation rates calculated based on historicallocal evaporation data (monthly
average values);
• Local precipitation data (for the 100-year, 365=day.event, distribute the '100-year return
period annual total in accordance with mean monthly precipitation patterns);
• Historical and estimated maximum wastewater generation rates distributed monthly in
accordance with expected seasonal variations; and.
• Projected long-term rates for off-site wastewater disposal (if any). If used, these values
must reflect Musco's commitment to ongoing off-site.disposal.
Please contact Todd-Dei Frate at (916)464-4737 (tdelfrate@waterboards.cagoy)or meat
(916)464-4737 (aolson@waterboards.ca;gov} if you have any questions.
ANNE L.
