SAN JOAQUIN Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY- <br /> Package Sewage Treatment Plant Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> JD Service Station, Inc. 9015 WALNUT GROVE RD, THORNTON August 31, 2022 <br /> Observations and Corrective Actions <br /> Item # Remarks <br /> 1 OWTS 7.1 Engineered plans not submitted/approved. <br /> Environmental Health Department has received engineer designed evaluation that is under review. <br /> OWTS 7.1 Alternative treatment systems are standard systems with additional enhancements above the required <br /> minimum to augment the treatment capabilities of the system. For example, additional septic tank capacity, <br /> additional length of leach line, or the addition of organic material under the leach line. Engineered systems are <br /> nonstandard systems uniquely designed for a specific location or locations by a Registered Civil Engineer based on <br /> site specific information. Where engineered systems are required, complete design plans shall be submitted by a <br /> Registered Civil Engineer to the Director of Environmental Health for initial approval prior to beginning construction. <br /> The plans shall include the following: <br /> 7.1.1 A complete scaled plot plan of the area showing wells, structures, sanitary sewerage lines, water lines and <br /> total proposed land use. <br /> 7.1.2 Total capacity of the system in gallons and organic load. Design criteria shall include a reserve capacity to <br /> accommodate a surge flow or increase in the average daily flow. <br /> 7.1.3 Calculations showing ability of effluent to meet discharge standards as set by the Environmental Health <br /> Department. <br /> 7.1.4 The source of data and the data calculated to the existing system or any future expansion shall be shown on <br /> the plans. <br /> 7.1.5 The percolation rates of leach fields or seepage pits shall be calculated and figures shown on the plans.
