Environmental Health Department <br />AMENDED <br />11/18/2019 <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />November 14, 2019 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 261 Spreckels Ave, Manteca <br /> Facility Name: <br /> PetSmart #1601 <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 401 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br />OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste was found stored in the hazardous waste storage area in a container that is not <br />in good condition: <br />1. A Toxic Hazardous Waste tote, containing the bagged waste listed below, was observed missing a lid latch on <br />one side of the tote, causing the lid to not be properly closed (see photos IMG 9384-95). <br /> - a Bayer Seresto flea medication collar <br /> - a box of Frontline Plus flea medication for dogs <br /> - an open one gallon bottle of CHI Conditioner for dogs. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Hazardous waste shall be stored in a containers that are in good condition. If a <br />container holding hazardous waste is not in good condition (e.g., severe rusting, apparent structural defects), or if it <br />begins to leak, the owner or operator shall transfer the hazardous waste from this container to a container that is in <br />good condition, or manage the waste in some other way that complies with the hazardous waste requirements. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers properly or transfer all of the Toxic hazardous wastes <br />into a container that is in good condition and can be properly closed. Provide a corrective action statement to the <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br />hazardous waste. <br />OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage container was observed in the hazardous waste <br />storage area: <br />1.
