This facility does not have a valid ID rhimber to manage hazardous waste. A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without an ID number. If you or your business generates more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous waste and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous waste, then you need to obtain an EPA ID number. All others must obtain a State ID number. Go to the DTSC web site http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/IDManifest/PERMHWID.cfm for the form to apply for an ID number. Immediately obtain an ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the EHD. Spilled powdered pool chemicals were observed inside the storage building located in the back of the parcel, adjacent to the northern property boundary. Mr. Walker said that the spilled material is "soda ash and baking soda". Also a white powdery substance was noted on the outside of the outdoor garbage container (closed top roll off dumpster) located adjacent to the eastern property boundary; one sample of the white substance located on the garbage container was collected by the EHD at the time of inspection. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately remove all the spilled materials, make a hazardous waste determination for the waste. and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations.
