Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: Applicant: Gurvinder Singh Maan (Property Owner)
514 East French Camp Road
French Camp, CA 95231
Application No.: PA-1800096 (SA, TE)
-- One Year Time Extension --
Dear Mr. Sanfilippo:
I am a very concerned resident. We are in receipt of your July 10, 2020 letter(see enclosed)
regarding the project application of a one-year time extension for Gurvinder Single Maan,Application
No. PA-1800096 (SA, TE). We object to having his project application extended. This property is
located west of various residential homes before a railroad track, and half a block down the street from
our French Camp Road residence. French Camp Road is a two-lane road and is a major artery between
99 and I-5. French Camp Road is a very busy road between the two major freeways.
Over these past 3 years or so, residents in our area had seen numerous 18-wheels trucks, between
4 to 7 trucks with trailers attached, and/or trailers only, outside the fences of 514 East French Camp
Road, on the road shoulders, parked on both sides of French Camp Road, for days on and/or weeks.
One will think this shoulder sections of French Camp Road is a commercial parking lot. Quite often,
neighboring residents will see truck owners and/or truck drivers working on their trucks while parked on
the road shoulders, leaving behind debris along French Camp Road causing eye sore to the community.
I do believe neighboring residents have had complained about this illegal parking issues and
maintenance work of commercial trucks by the owners or truck drivers. During the Fall and Winter
months, absent of street lights, having these trucks and/or trailers parked, and left parked on French
Camp Road shoulders, in a very dark section, are very hazardous obscuring other vehicle drivers and
occupants of residents, as well as other individuals traveling this section of French Camp Road, of
oncoming traffic.
Query: Do these truck drivers/owners have permits, and/or are allowed to park their truck
and/or trailers along the shoulders of French Camp Road? If not, then these truck owners/drivers are in
violation of some city ordinance and should be stopped and monetarily penalized.
The Permit stated that Applicant is allowed to park "agricultural truck parking for a
maximum of(2) trucks and four (4) trailers" on his land lot, not on the street. On top of that, most,
if not all of the truck/trailers seen parked are refrigerator-type trailers, not agricultural
trucks/trailers on the street shoulders. Truck owners and truck drivers are seen doing extensive
mechanical repairs at the residence and on both sides of the shoulders of French Camp Road.
