REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of,transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Identification (ID) Number.A Federal EPA ID number is required for generators of more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous waste per month and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous waste per month. ID numbers are unique to a business and site location. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ to obtain a Federal EPA ID number. Immediately apply for your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. This is a repeat violation, Class II.
