Denise retrieved the cardboard box from <br /> the shelf for further observation (IMG 9531).According to the Banfield Pet Hospital Waste Management Plan, <br /> expired non-controlled pharmaceuticals, and hazardous expired controlled pharmaceuticals(included on the list in <br /> Appendix A), are to be managed as hazardous waste(see photos IMG 9567-70). <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are <br /> closed when not adding or removing waste.
