All Banfield hospitals must adhere to the highest standards for disposal of medical, <br /> hazardous and pharmaceutical waste. Please refer to the Types of Waste section in the <br /> following pages of this manual. Rules for containerizing and storing medical waste vary <br /> depending on the type of waste. <br /> Please refer to the SES page on dotBanfield for state-by-state regulatory information for the <br /> most up -to-date information and forms . If you have any questions regarding waste disposal <br /> rules, contact your hospital's regulatory compliance specialist at CTS or email the SES team <br /> at SES@banfield.net. <br /> Record- Hazardous waste or biomedical waste manifests must be retained at the hospital for <br /> keeping inspection purposes. The program administrator must keep these manifests in the hospital <br /> Safety Binder under the Medical and Hazardous Waste tab. It is the program administrator's <br /> responsibility to retain all medical and hazardous waste documents, which includes, but may <br /> not be limited to ; <br /> ® Medical and hazardous waste permits as required by state law <br /> ® All waste manifests <br /> ® Other waste documentation required by state law <br /> Florida Please not that all Florida hospitals are required to have a Biomedical Waste Operating Plan <br /> ONLY and all all associates must sign Appendix A of the plan yearly and as newly hired.
