Operations <br /> Health & Safety <br /> Hazardous/Regulated Waste <br /> Collection Area Set Up <br /> Revised 10/19 <br /> Reviewed 10119 <br /> Hazardous and The Hazardous/Regulated Waste Collection Area should be set up in an <br /> Regulated Waste easily accessible area in the Backroom. <br /> Collection Area This area is where all designated "hazardous/regulated waste" will be <br /> processed, segregated and stored for pick up. <br /> All Associates must be familiar with this area and understand the <br /> importance of this program. Associates should be re-trained annually. <br /> Collection Area Set Proper area set up is critical to the success of this program and must be <br /> Up (Backroom) executed within TJX's guidelines. To set up the Hazardous/Regulated <br /> Waste Collection Area in the Backroom: <br /> • Place six Hazardous/Regulated Waste collection bins side by side in <br /> a visible and accessible area in your Backroom. <br /> o Five 13.4 gallon collection bins (Item #71213-1), one each for: <br /> ■ Corrosive Acids <br /> ■ Aerosols &Flammable Liquids <br /> ■ Corrosive Bases <br /> ■ Toxic <br /> ■ Oxidizer <br /> o One 33 gallon collection bin (Item #71213-2) for: <br /> ■ Universal Waste (Electronic Waste & Batteries) <br /> • All six bins MUST be in the same area. <br /> o DO NOT stack bins on top of each other. <br /> o Bins may not be separated into different areas of the <br /> Backroom. <br /> Il - <br /> s oAcl� L ....... -i��1 I6eses� G-131i. ll_, <br /> ro <br /> OX <br /> TXI <br /> 1 , <br />
