According to Mr. Yiamkis, he had taken a sample earlier and forgot to close a valve, which pushes the <br /> gasoline to the station, causing a leak. The gasoline had filled a sink and was overflowing onto the concrete <br /> underneath and into the gravel/dirt secondary containment. Mr. Yiamkis shut off the valve and cleaned the leak <br /> area at the time inspection; clean up was not witnessed. <br /> -A forklift in the garage was observed leaking oil onto the floor. No absorbent or other responses were observed to <br /> address the oil leak and no maintenance records were available for attempted repairs for the leak. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately fix all <br /> leaking equipment, clean all spill areas, including stained soil, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of <br /> waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days.
