SILICON TURNKEY SOLUTIONS <br /> PBR CLOSURE COST ESTIMATE <br /> Within 90 days of treating the final volume of hazardous waste water,STS,INC will initiate this closure <br /> operation. The closure activities will be completed within 180 days of implementation. <br /> A. Waste Inventory: <br /> The maximum inventory of waste in storage and in treatment at any one time during operation is: <br /> 1) 4,000 gallons of metal bearing waste water. <br /> 2) 300 pounds of dewatered filter cake. <br /> B. Closure Procedures: <br /> 1) Steam clean all floor drains,tank,filter press and secondary containment walls. Waste <br /> Residues will be collected in drums and sampled for disposal. Equipment that cannot be <br /> decontaminated will be dismantled and disposed of offsite. <br /> Time required: 20 days <br /> Estimated Cost: $3,900 <br /> 2) Dispose of a maximum 300 pounds(1 drums)of dewatered filter cake from metals <br /> Precipitation to a secure hazardous waste landfill. <br /> Estimated Cost: $500.00 <br /> 3) Collect one(1)water sample from Monitoring well NR.2 located Northwest of the waste <br /> Treatment plant. Collect one(1)sample from monitoring well NR.4 located directly <br /> South of the waste treatment plant. Analyze each sample for pH,copper,nickel,lead,tin, <br /> nitrate and sulfate. <br /> Time required: 15 days <br /> Estimated Cost: $4050.00 <br /> 4) Estimated Cost for Certification by an independent engineer. $1500.00 <br /> 5) Expected closure date: 2015. <br /> 6) All remaining Waste water treatment plant equipment will be sold to off set the cost <br /> of closing the treatment plant. <br /> Estimated Value: $41,000 <br /> STS Inc.will notify the Department of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC)and the San <br /> Joaquin County Health.Department and any other agencies,which have jurisdiction over <br /> the closure project,at least 15 days prior to the completion of closure. <br /> Upon completion of closure DTSC and the San Joaquin County Health Department will <br /> be provided with a certification signed by the owner and by a independent,professional <br /> engineer registered in California,stating that closure has been completed in accordance <br /> with the operation and the closure meets or exceeds the applicable requirements of the <br /> Departments. <br />
