Soil samples
will be collected at one foot below surface grade and five feet below surface grade (bsg).
Soil-vapor samples will be collected at three feet bsg in the borings advanced near the
former solvent machine and cracked concrete floor.
Selected soil samples and soil-vapor samples will be submitted to a California Department
of Public Health (CDPH)-Certified laboratory and selected samples will be analyzed for:
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B.
Upon completion of the field work and receipt of laboratory analysis, a brief report will be
prepared. The report will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist.
PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable drilling permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department(EHD) and a site-specific Health and Safety Plan will be prepared. Prior
to mobilization, each soil boring location will be clearly marked and a utility clearance
obtained through Underground Service Alert. The EHD will be contacted a minimum of five
days prior to conducting investigation activities to arrange for inspection.
FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative working under the
supervision of a California Professional Geologist.
