INTRODUCTION <br /> Kleinfelder is pleased to present this proposal to Pombo Real Estate of Tracy, California. This <br /> proposal was developed after correspondence with Ms. Jeanette Pombo, and using Kleinfelder's <br /> current understanding of the site conditions and is a preliminary understanding of Ms. Pombo's and <br /> Pombo Real Estate's desires and requirements. We prepared this proposal based on information <br /> usually requested in a workplan by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD)and the State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board Central Valley Office <br /> (RWQCB). <br /> Kleinfelder is committed to providing a high level of service to its clients, commensurate with their <br /> wants and needs. If a portion of this proposal does not meet the needs of the client, or if those <br /> needs have changed, Kleinfelder stands ready to consider appropriate modifications, subject to the <br /> standards of care to which we adhere as professionals. Modifications such as changes in scope, <br /> methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and conditions may result in changes to the risks <br /> assumed by the client, as well as adjustments to our fees. BACKGROUND <br /> Kleinfelder understands a former 285 gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UGST) was <br /> removed at the above referenced address. The date of tank removal is unknown at this time. <br /> According to Ms. Pombo, the tank area has been infilled with sand and soil. There is no record of <br /> confirmation soil samples being collected at the time of tank removal. Kleinfelder was requested to <br /> submit a proposal to collect and analyze soil samples in the location of the former underground <br /> storage tank. <br /> III. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Task 1 - Workplan Preparation and Permitting <br /> A workplan and boring permit, which details the scope of work, will be submitted to SJCEHD <br /> for review and authorization.
