ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Measuring Stick IMPORTANT : Each of the numbered steps in the installation instructions are designed as a CHECK LIST to ensure proper installation and trouble free operation of the OPW 71 SO Overfill Prevention Valve . STEP 1 : MEASURE 6- 1 /2" Install the OPW Face Seal Adaptor and the OPW Thread -on Spill Container on the Fill Riser ( Refer to the Installation Instructions Supplied with the Spill Figure 1 Container) . Insert the 71 SO measuring stick through the riser pipe and hook it under the inside of the tank in the lengthwise direction . Mark the measuring stick at the top of the Face Seal Adaptor threads inside the base of the spill container bucket 4" NPT just below the drain valve outlet window (See Figure Nipple 1 & 1A) .
