Provide these records and a corrective <br /> action statement to the EHD within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Oily debris and absorbent were observed on the shop corner floor beside the used antifreeze <br /> 55-gallon drum. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection. Shop personnel applied absorbent to <br /> oily floor and corner,then swept up waste and placed into the hazardous waste oily solids 55-gallon container.
