All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates <br /> OBSERVATIONS:There are two gates in the pool enclosure, one is locked shut and the other will not close naturally. For <br /> this reason the pool must be closed. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br /> Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br /> except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br /> maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Safety sign is faded, rewrite the address on the sign today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Upon arrival the life ring was floating in the pool,the rope was laying near the pool.This was corrected <br /> on site. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Cyanuric acid concentration is greater than 100 ppm.The operator must maintain a cyanuric acid <br /> concentration below 100 ppm. Correct within 2 weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm.
