Ralph Hayes & Son, Inc. <br /> Product Delivery Procedures <br /> The Fleet Manager or his designee will supervise deliveries from all oil suppliers. Delivery actions and <br /> observations include: <br /> Step 1: Verify delivery tank contains type and quantity of oil ordered. <br /> Step 2: Verify the tank to be filled has sufficient space to accept delivery. <br /> Step 3: Tank truck will be accompanied by trained operator and RHS Personnel prior to unloading. <br /> Step 4: Ensure the product to be added is compatible with the tank's current contents. <br /> Step 5: RHS personnel shall verify correct fill port on tank is accessed and that spill response materials <br /> (absorbent pads,booms,and absorbent material)are in adequate supply and accessible. <br /> Step 6: Nearby ignition sources within 50 feet of transfer area must be eliminated.No smoking is allowed in <br /> the vicinity of the tank or bulk delivery vehicle during bulk transfer process. <br /> Step 7: Tank truck brakes shall be set and the driver shall remain with the vehicle and in site of filling <br /> operations at all times during the entire unloading period. <br /> Step 8: Connect hoses and inspect hose connections for drips/leakage. Buckets or pans should be used to <br /> capture product. <br /> Step 9: Ensure that the tank vent line(for gasoline transfers)is open and unobstructed. <br /> Step 10: Place collection bucket below tank truck unloading valve to ensure that any incipient leaks are <br /> captured. <br /> Step 11: Start the transfer.When the transfer is complete,examine hoses before disconnecting.The designated <br /> RES personnel observing the transfer shall visually inspect the fuel transfer area for any releases. If <br /> ANY spill occurs during the fuel transfer process, the process shall immediately cease and spill <br /> reporting procedures shall be followed. <br /> Step 12: Any fuel left in the hose will be pumped back into the tank. <br /> Step 13: Replace the unloading header cap and close and lock the unloading header valve,if applicable. <br /> Step 14: Inspect and clean the containment system,where applicable. <br /> Note: <br /> Transfer of product should ONLY take place during daylight/tours and during non-rain events if <br /> practical. <br />
