All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#1 Pool Gates <br />OBSERVATIONS: The door does not close when open slightly. Repair and make sure the closes properly. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closingself-latching devices. <br />Self -latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The rope on the life ring is not rolled up properly. Make sure the rope is untangled so that it can be used. <br />Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />415, .Operation Records, , <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chemicals must be tested daily and records kept. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operatorshall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br />#37 Electrical Hazards <br />OBSERVATIONS: The light timer is not correct. Correct today. The timer is on manually. Corrected. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with <br />Califomia Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground <br />fault circuit interrupter.
