All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an Immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545 <br />#1 Pool Gates MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Door (only entry and exit) to pool enclosure not self-closing self latching. Provide self-closing and <br />self -latching door. Pool is closed. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with seN-closing self -latching devices. <br />Self -latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine 0.6 ppm. Provide and maintain 2 to 10 ppm. Pool is closed. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanunc acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Rope of life ring tied in such way that it is not ready to be deployed. Provide so rope and life ring is ready <br />to be deployed. Corrected. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION. Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Debris in skimmer basket. Clean in 2 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
