All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Life ring is deteriorating <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained,readily visible,and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #15 Operation Records <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Operation records were lacking and not up to date, operator must check chlorine and pH once per day, <br /> and test cyanuric acid concentrations once every month and record the results of the tests. Start a current record of pool <br /> chemicals today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual,pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br /> Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br /> necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br /> for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Skimmers baskets were accumulating leaves and dead bugs, clean today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br /> maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 31368) <br /> #36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Effluent gauge is broken, repair or replace within one week. <br /> Maintenance staff replace effluent guage during inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system.
