Its as <br /> grocedures for Sorting Hazardous Waste <br /> Only fully trained Associates may process hazardous waste. ENVIRONNIL1v IhL 1AEALTH <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> 1. All damaged hazardous waste items must be properly processed at the time the spill or <br /> leak occurs. These items must be brought to the Accumulation Station for proper sorting <br /> and markdown (if applicable). <br /> 2. Sort hazardous waste by category (AF, C-A, C-B, STOU and OX). Place in authorized <br /> sealable plastic bags, then place in corresponding category drum/tote. <br /> 3. Place entire item, including all packaging and absorbent material into a self sealing bag. <br /> Use enough absorbent material to soak up all liquid. Hazardous waste items with the <br /> exact same SKU/UPC # can be placed in the same bag. Bag MUST be able to seal. <br /> 4. Completely close self sealing bag. Double check to ensure the bag is sealed. <br /> 5. If product name is missing or illegible write product name on bag with a black permanent <br /> marker. <br /> 6. Place bagged item(s) into correct accumulation container. <br /> Proper Drum/Tote Maintenance and Labeling <br /> When first filling an empty drum or tote, place the appropriate label on the front of the drum/tote <br /> where it is visible. <br /> 1. Make sure the label is completely filled out, including the address and Company name <br /> with the address. <br /> 2.
