Three 55 gallon steel drums of unknown waste <br />(2 solids, 1 liquids) were observed on the north side of the facility with no labels. No disposal records were available <br />on site for hazardous waste. Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, <br />immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of <br />the manifest(s) to the EHID within 30 days. <br />This is a Class II violatio . <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed t completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />Three 55 gallon steel dru ns of unknown waste (2 solids, 1 liquids) were observed on the north side of the facility <br />with no labels. All hazar ous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardo Waste" <br />- name and address o generator <br />- hazardous propertie (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br />- physical state (liquid, solid) <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />608 <br />CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br />Two 55 gallon steel drums labeled as used oil and gasoline filters were observed on the north side of the facility with <br />no accumulation start date. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof <br />container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately mark the <br />date on these drums and Bnsure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br />Two 55 gallon steel drums labeled as used oil and gasoline filters were observed on the north side of the facility with <br />no accumulation start date. No disposal records for used filters were observed on site. Facilities that generate up <br />to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of <br />used oil filters may store tie filters for up to 180 days. Since it cannot be determined how long these filters have <br />been on site, immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by October 20, 2P 17. <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
