Results from the Third Quarter Monitoring Event show several detections
of V*ttile Organic Compounds in MW-4 and MW-5.
MW-4 was resampled on September 19, 2001. The results will be submitted to the Reional
Board when received.
MW-5 has been declared an impacted well, and thus was not resampled. As previously noted
the County believes that groundwater concerns in MW-5 are related to landfill gas migration.
As a corrective measure, the landfill gas collection and control system has been completed, ar
is operating at full capacity. Further monitoring will determine the effectiveness of the landfi
gas collection system in mitigating groundwater impacts.
There were no other exceedences during the Third Quarter Monitoring Event.
This report was prepared to comply with Waste Discharge Requirements Order No. 94-259.
If you have any questions, please call me at(209)468-3066.
Sincerely,
W.
