Note: This is a repeat violation from the inspection on February 3, 2006. Class II Violations Violation #24-Failed to manage incompatible wastes in containers properly 66265.17 CCR. At time of inspection, facility was storing mixed waste aerosol cans, in FL totes, without any knowledge of compatibility. Facility was also storing mixed wastes, on the sorting cart, including containers of Murphy's oil, motor oil, bleach, and antifreeze, some of which were open, broken, and or leaking, for an undetermined amount of time, without any knowledge of compatibility. Immediately, segregate incompatible wastes. All incompatible wastes must be managed and stored separately. Violation #27-Failed to keep containers of HW closed except when adding/removing hazardous waste 66265.173(a) CCR. At time of inspection, facility was storing mixed wastes, on the sorting cart, including, containers of Murphy's oil, motor oil, bleach, and antifreeze, some of which were open, broken, and or leaking. Hazardous waste containers must be kept closed at all times unless actively adding or removing hazardous waste. Immediately, close all storage containers of hazardous waste unless actively adding or removing hazardous waste. Violation #50-Stored Hazardous Waste onsite greater than 180 days CCR66262.34(d). At time of inspection, start accumulation date on the hazardous waste stored in the pharmacy was listed as 2/1/09. Immediately, have this waste removed by a registered hazardous waste hauler, under manifest, and submit a copy to this office. Violation #59-Generator manifest copies not sent to the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) within 30 days 66262.23(a) (4) CCR. At time of inspection: - Blue copy (generator copy) of a hazardous waste manifest, number 24688632, dated 5/06 was seen. - Generator copy of the following manifests were not submitted to the DTSC within 30 days of shipment: 000273560WAS 1/19/10 000273116WAS 12/8/09 000272772WAS 10/15/09 000247067WAS 07/09 000226117WAS 08/20/09 000186159WAS 05/28/09 Generator copies must be sent to the department within 30 days of each shipment of hazardous waste.
