STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE: SLOT CLEANING PROCEDURE <br />e. Slot Cleaning Equipment <br />i. Pallet Jack. <br />ii. Trash Barrel. <br />iii. Long handled razor scraper. <br />iv. Broom and Dust Pan. <br />v. Mop and mop pail filled with hot water cleaning solution mix <br />ru <br />vi. Personal protective equipment as required by MSDS of those materials being used. <br />vii. Heavy duty elbow length rubberized cleaning gloves. <br />viii. Steel toed shoes. <br />f. Slot Cleaning steps <br />Step 1: <br />Remove pallets/product from slot to be cleaned. Place pallets parallel to <br />the aisle to allow for trafficability of the aisle. Product shall be moved <br />from pick slot and/or shrouded to protect from water damage or <br />cleaning chemical contamination. <br />Step 2: <br />Examine the slot for any hazards that may exist i.e. insecure pallets <br />above the slot, "hanging" cases, broken glass, leaking cases. Examine <br />the slot for and remove any pest or rodent control devices i.e. glue <br />boards, mechanical traps, pheromone traps. <br />Step 3: <br />Dry sweep slot from rear to front to include the area beyond the pallet <br />stop. Remove any errant or damaged product that may have fallen into <br />the slot. Errant cases will be returned to the pallets they belong, <br />damaged product will be brought to O,S&D. <br />Step 4: <br />Scrape an "shot" stickers which may be stuck to the floor. <br />Wet mop slot from rear to front to include the area beyond the pallet <br />stop and the cleaning should extend 1 foot in to the main aisle. Rinse <br />mop frequently. <br />Ste 6: <br />Ring -out mop and dry mop the slot to absorb any standing water. <br />Ste 7: <br />Clean Rack legs where spillage is evident with a damp sponge. <br />Step 8: <br />Replace any pest or rodent control devices and then replace the pallets <br />in the order and location from which they came. <br />Step 9: <br />Record slot number cleaned on the slot cleaning schedule. Ensure all <br />slots cleaned are notated on the slot cleaning log that is posled on the <br />SA.001.PR.07.04 Page 7 of 1 1 ReSRdODS/21150 <br />E-NVIRONME MENTAL <br />
