PURPOSE <br />1 <br />1.1. To establish a standardized process for the appropriate mailing of regulated waste OCT 13 201 j <br />manifest to the appropriate state agency. <br />ENVIRONMENTAI. <br />2. SCOPE HF. A"rq r?r=7AQT7ACTIT <br />2.1. This document describes proper consolidation and mailing of manifest for facilities in <br />each affected state. <br />2.2. This procedure applies to the management of regulated waste at all C&S owned/operated <br />facilities across the US. <br />3. RATIONALE <br />3.1. Following these guidelines will ensure our compliance with state regulations as it relates <br />the mailing of regulated waste manifest to various states within our organization. <br />4. STATE SPECIFIC PROCEDURES <br />4.1. ALABAMA <br />4.1.1. No Mailing Requirement <br />4.2. CALIFORNIA <br />4.2.1. Site must mail a copy of the manifest at the time of pick-up within thirty (30) <br />days of the shipment date. <br />4.2.2. It is the responsibility of the Facilities Maintenance Manager to gather copies of <br />all required manifests from all areas of the facility each month. <br />4.2.3. The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible to mail all manifest <br />accumulated on or about the 15'h of each month. <br />4.2.4. The Facilities Maintenance Manager will mail the manifest to the following <br />address: <br />4.2.4.1. DTSC Generator Manifests <br />PO Box 400 <br />Sacramento, CA 95812-0400 <br />4.3. CONNECTICUT <br />4.3.1. Site must mail a copy of the manifest at the time of pick-up within seven (7) days <br />of the shipment date. <br />4.3.2. It is the responsibility of the Facilities Maintenance Manager to gather copies of <br />all required manifests from all areas of the facility each week. <br />
