Michael Carroll, PE
Senior Civil Engineer
SUBJECT: CORRAL HOLLOW SANITARY LANDFILL, LANDFILL GAS
MONITORING
Enclosed is the Second Quarter 2003 Landfill Gas Monitoring Report for the Corral Hollow
Sanitary Landfill.
We are pleased to report that the concentration of combustible gas at all probes, including GW-6
deep, is in compliance with Title 27, Section 20921(a)(2), as of June 26, 2003. The one
exception is GW-6 intermediate, which was found slightly(0.2%) above regulatory limits for the
first time since the third quarter of 2002. Because the present exceedence was slight, and
because this probe has been in compliance in the past, we expect to find it in compliance again
next quarter.
Monitoring will continue quarterly as required.
If you have any questions, please call me at extension 8-3066.
WMC:mr
N:\lcorrall Hollow\Gas Monitoring\2003data Memos&Reports\2ndgtr2003reportcoverietter.Doc
Enclosure
c: Gino Yekta
California Integrated Waste Management Board
CAL-EPA Building
10011 Street
Sacramento, California 95812-4025
LA 21847F
