Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95202-0388 <br /> Subject: Transmittal of State Permit Inspection Report for the <br /> Scotts San Joaquin Regional Composting Facility,Facility No.39-AA-0026 <br /> -Dear Ms. Heran: <br /> California Integrated Waste Management Board(Board) staff conducted an inspection of <br /> the Scotts San Joaquin Regional Composting Facility on March 14, 2002. This was <br /> completed pursuant to Division 30,Public Resources Code (30 PRC), Sections 43219(a) <br /> and 43220. A copy of the CIWMB staff inspection report is enclosed. A copy of this <br /> correspondence has also been forwarded to the facility operator. <br /> The facility was evaluated for compliance with applicable sections of 30 PRC and Title <br /> 14, California Code of Regulations(14 CCR),Division 7, Chapter 3.1, CIWMB <br /> Composting Operations Regulatory Requirements. <br /> No violations of 30 PRC or 14 CCR were noted during inspection. <br /> The Board will consider the proposed solid waste facility permit revisions for the Scotts <br /> San Joaquin Regional Composting Facility, submitted by your Agency on January 17, <br /> 2002, at its April 16-17, 2002 meeting. As the Local Enforcement Agency(LEA),please <br /> continue to document any violations in your monthly inspection reports, including how <br /> the operator obtained compliance. Overall the Scotts San Joaquin Regional Composting <br /> Facility appeared neat and well managed. <br /> As always,this office is available to assist you.
